I'm over using a colander to strain pasta, and those big pasta pots with the strainer basket are too big, expensive and unwieldy. Been there. Done that.

Allow me to recommend something so much faster and simpler. It's a little clip-on silicone Snap Strainer that goes right on the pot, and makes cooking and draining the water from anything - pasta to potatoes - a snap.

Boil. Take the pot to the sink and drain. Done. It's so flexible that it fits a wide variety of pot sizes, and is easy to rinse off and store right inside your big pot. You'll love not having to get the last little, itsy-bitsy bits of dried pasta out of the holes of your old colander.
